Step 5 - If you like the savings with solar, we then schedule an install for you.
There are seven key milestones from the time your purchase contract is signed to the date of installation. The processing time depends on your location, the financial option you choose, and the time of year.
- First, Earthsponse places your equipment order. This happens within 48 hours of you signing the purchase contract. We’ll also confirm at that time whether the equipment will ship to your home/business, or to you installer.
- You and your installer then schedule your installation date. If you don’t have or know a great installer, Earthsponse can recommend one for you.
- Your installer then will secure your building permit, which usually takes a day or two.
- When it’s available, Earthsponse then ships your equipment to the agreed-upon location.
- After confirming with you, your installer and his/her crew will arrive on site to begin your installation, which takes about 3 days for a home, and up to 5 days for a business.
- The installation begins. This will require you be present at the outset to allow crews into your attic, and at the end of the install, when crews will connect the system to your electric panel. Your installation also will include a monitoring card that easily connects to your computer, so you’ll have real-time data at your fingertips that will provide a continuous review of your system’s energy performance.
- Next, your installer will coordinate with a local electrical inspector, who will confirm the workmanship of your system. The inspection paperwork will be forwarded to your local utility, who will also come to your site and confirm the quality of your system. That’s three sets of eyes to ensure your system will run at optimal performance.
Once your utility gives the “green” light, your system is turned on. Congratulations -- you now own your own mini power station. Sit back and enjoy your savings.
